Authentic place, great food, a bit pricy.

Very charming location: beautiful, romantic, close to nature and the city (Freiburg). We celebrated our wedding here and the service was excellent. Family Maier supported and advised us from the very beginning with the planning and organization of our celebration and made sure that everything went like clockwork on our wedding day. At the same time the hotel, restaurant and wedding location (Weinscheune) have a unique charme that instantly makes you feel comfortable. Rooms were very clean, food was excellent with local ingredients and service was all you can wish for. We can recommend the location for weddings, food and vacation (especially if you enjoy good food, family atmosphere and nature). THANKS!

The Gasthof is very beautyful, an old house in the typical architectural style. It is a small familiar hotel, most rooms nicely renovated, spacious and nicely furbished. There are also a lot of interesting old/antique objects. The location is ideal, 15 minutes drive from Freiburg and 15 from Todtnau. There is also a good parking space. The service is very good, the people friendly. The Gasthof is also a restaurant and a very good one. They cook typical regional dishes, in best quality. There is also big salads and even olive oil if you ask for it. Breakfast is also very good with something for every taste.

We went there for a wedding and the overall experience was great. The staff made all they could to make the dinner and evening a memorable night. The location is gorgeous, the building were the dinner took place is an old building with basically a new one on top, very unique.
